Wayne Edward Denard

Wayne Edward Denard, beloved father, grandfather, friend, husband and brother, died peacefully after a year long battle with cancer on October 27, 2016. He will be truly missed by his family and all those friends who admired him. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass and burial at Wellington Cemetery in Ontario, Canada will be at a later date. Born in Hillier, Ontario on the family dairy farm on July 27, 1945 he attended high school and then Kemptville Agricultural School in Kemptville, Ont. He worked in the Canadian Pavilion at Expo '67 in Montreal, Que. Moving to the USA in 1976 to work as a salesman for Hy-Line International in Tipton, Indiana and later to Adel, Iowa to become the far-east Asia territory sales manager, which enabled him to travel to over 40 countries around the world. He later retired from Jamesway incubator systems. He will be missed by his family and all those friends he met in his travels. Wayne is survived by daughters, Diana Weesner of Adel, Colleen Denard-Pasco (Joel) of Adel, Christina Buse (Stuart) of Adel; loving wife, Donna Denard (of Adel); siblings in Ontario, Canada, Dorothy Robertson, Robert (Mary Ann) Denard, Neil (Barbara) Denard and Lynda Denard; grandchildren, Hannah, Kody, Paige, Caleb, Max, Josephine, Forest, Emerie and Lily. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Denard and Margaret H. Denard of Wellington, Ont. and brothers in law, Lloyd Robertson and Ray Rath.
