William Rube Reeves was born May 5, 1935 in Marshalltown to Donald Raymond Reeves and Francis Elliot, and died April 4 at the Perry Health Care Center, at the age of 73 years 10 month and 3 days. His early child hood was spent at the orphanage at Boys Town, before moving to Dahlgren, IL. area as a teen. His adult years were spent in the central Iowa area and had lived in Perry, for the last 20 years. Will worked as an over the road trucker, a cement finisher and tried a stint as a logger. He was never rich but always willing to share whatever he had with someone that might need it more than he. He volunteered his time and opened his house to many throughout the years and enjoyed many friendship as a result. He loved going to the horse races, watching NASCAR, being a volunteer Grand Parent at Woodward, and his grandkids. Will was preceded in death by his parents an infant son and daughter. He is survived by his wife Carole Kay, son Brian Gobeli and wife Sharon of Chatsworth, CA. their children Nicholas, Cheynne and Brian II, son William J. Reeves and wife Dawn of Norwalk, and their children Logan and Erin Reeves, Jacob, Lucas, Abigail and Benjamin Anctil, and daughters Joni Reeves of Perry, and Rebecca Reeves of FL.
