Wilma L. Jordan, 85, of Peru, Iowa, died Monday, November 17, 2014, at her residence in Peru. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 21, at the Peru United Methodist Church in Peru, Iowa with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery at Winterset, Iowa. Wilma was born on June 11, 1929, at Winterset to Patrick and Myrtle (Seiler) Cline. She was a 1947 graduate of Winterset High School and was married on September 22, 1949 to Donald Jordan at Winterset, Iowa. She had been a lifetime resident of Madison County and had lived 65 years on the same farm since her marriage to Don. Wilma spent most of her life as a homemaker and helping her husband farm. Early in her life she had been a secretary/bookkeeper for a local contractor. Wilma was a member of the Peru United Methodist Church, life member of the Madison County Historical Society, lifetime member of the Winterset High School Alumni Association, Madison County Genealogical Society, Peru Women's Society, and the Democratic Party. Wilma is survived by her son, Bruce (Emily) Jordan of West Bend, Wisconsin; daughters, Christine Jordan of Peru, Sharon (Bruce) Stiles of Waterloo, and Andrea Dryer of Cedar Falls; brothers, Gail Cline of Winterset and Murray Cline of Winterset; sisters, Janice Feldman of Van Meter and Jeanne Rieck of Ames; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Susannah Stiles, and Lilian Stiles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Myrtle (Seiler) Cline; husband, Don Jordan; son-in-law, Joel Dryer; brothers, Ralph Cline and Glenn Cline; sister, Norma Junkin; and infant grandson, Hans Joseph Stiles. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 8 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
