Dean and Virginia Mallory

Dean LeRoy Mallory passed away on January 1, 2025, and Virginia Mae (Nichols) Mallory passed away on December 31, 2024, at Panora Specialty Care. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.caldwellparrish.com

Their journey began in 1962, inseparable ever since, and bound together forever in eternity. Together, they found a love for fishing and spoiling their fur babies. In their earlier days, their home was often filled with music, with the two dancing and Virginia singing along to their favorite country tunes. In their older years, Dean found a love for word puzzles, and Virginia enjoyed painting and coloring when they were not spending time with their large family.

Dean was born October 15, 1941 to William and Mildred Mallory as one of nine children and Virgina was born January 26, 1947 to Gomer and Gladys Nichols as one of four children. Dean and Virginia married on August 2, 1962 and are survived by 4 of their five children; Son Rick Mallory of Carlisle, Daughter Tamera Mallory of Carlisle, Daughter Pam Creese (Kevin) of Jefferson Iowa, Daughter Penny Bos (Gary) of Runnells, IA; Grandchildren: Granddaughter Candy Tounsley(Nate) and Great-Grandchildren Kyah, Madison and James Of Pleasant Hill, Grandson Larry Mallory (Bobbie) and Great-Grandchildren Larry Jr. and Jasmin of Dexter, Grandson Bart McCann (Jordan) and Great-Grandchildren Ashland, Atlanta, Abel, and Annabelle of Des Moines, Grandson Jason McCann (Brandy) and Great-Grandchildren Alex, Carter, and Amelia of Bondurant, Grandson Travis Bos and Great-Grandchildren Jocelynn, Holden, Hunter, Jameson, and Braxton of Bondurant, Grandson David McCann of Colorado, Grandson Eric McCann and Great-Grandchildren Olivia of Des Moines, Granddaughter Nicky Hedegard (Michael) and Great-Grandchildren Raiden, Korbyn, and Ryatt of Altoona, Granddaughters Alyssa, Jessica and Sierra of Carlisle, and Granddaughter Joclyn Smith and Great-Grandchildren Sophia, Ava, T.J and Colton of Perry. Dean is also survived by brothers Raymond and Denny Mallory. 

They are now reunited in heaven with their parents, Great-Grandson Mikey Hedegard, Daughter Deena Adair, Dean’s siblings Tom Mallory, Larry Mallory, Sandra (Art) Martinez, Barbara Langerak, Theresa Ramsey, and Bill Mallory and Virigina’s siblings Elizabeth, Chuck, and Imogene.
